Floare Carpet was founded in 1978 in Chișinău. Since then, the craft of our designers and specialists has taken the Moldovan carpet into homes, institutions and landmark spaces around the world.

The creative studio
1979Drawing becomes a craft
The Floare Carpet creative studio is formed. Painters, designers and colourists begin turning local ornament into collections for homes in Moldova and worldwide.

Identity
1988The Floare Carpet brand is born
Ten years after the factory opened, its artists' department created and launched the Floare Carpet brand — an identity built around the carpet and continuity.

Recognition
1992Woolmark-certified quality
In 1992, the pure wool carpets made in Chișinău received the international Woolmark quality certification.

Geneva
2001Platinum Star for Quality
In 2001, the work of the Floare Carpet teams was recognised internationally with the Platinum Star for Quality, awarded in Geneva.

2005Woolmark Blend
Wool-blend carpets also earn the Woolmark Blend certification, widening the collections without losing control of quality.
